In addition to multiple ‘state of’ environment reports, the Commissioner undertakes two strategic audits, each on a biennial cycle, as described by the Victorian Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability Act 2003 (CES Act).
Specifically, the Commissioner reports on the implementation of: (i) Environmental Management Systems by Victorian Government Agencies and public authorities (CES Act Part 3, s 18); and (ii) Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) conservation outcomes (CES Act Part 3, s 18A).
