“Phillip Toyne was an inspirational leader who showed great understanding of how communities, in particular those in rural areas, could help nurture and renew the natural environment through the Landcare movement,” Dr Sparkes said.
“He was a man of great integrity whose legacy includes what is now a global movement of Landcare volunteers working to create healthy environments that in turn create healthy communities.”
