Port Phillip Bay: In southern Port Phillip Bay, the health of reef fish communities was rated as ‘good’, reflecting the improving health of the ecosystem. Health of reef fish communities was rated as ‘unknown’ in Jawbone Marine Sanctuary and ‘fair’ in Point Cooke and Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuaries.
Other marine and coastal areas: Large mobile fish (including sharks and rays) on subtidal reefs in Marine National Parks and Sanctuaries beyond Port Phillip Bay are ‘good’ in 14 parks, ‘fair’ in one and ‘unknown’ in one. Data are limited outside Victoria’s Marine Protected Areas.
