Macroalgae on intertidal reefs

Port Phillip Bay marine national parks and sanctuaries: Monitoring data from the bay’s marine national parks and sanctuaries indicates that macroalgae is in ‘good’ condition, although water quality is an issue in some areas.

Other marine and coastal areas: Monitoring data from Parks Victoria indicates that macroalgae condition is ‘fair’ to ‘good’ in marine national parks and sanctuaries. Data are insufficient to determine status or trends outside those protected areas.
