Enterococci bacteria

Except for data collection at a small number of ocean outfalls, the focus of Enterococci bacteria monitoring is to determine the safety of water-based recreational activities at Port Phillip Bay’s beaches. The monitoring has shown that in recent years, 94-97% of beaches have met water quality objectives, this is an improvement on earlier years.
