Welcome to National Science Week 2019. As part of our special series exploring the 13 key themes of the Victorian State of the Environment 2018 Report, this week we highlight our chapter on Water Quality and review the Recommendation. The identification of water quality monitoring sites and needs is not currently as well coordinated across the State as possible so this recommendation promotes the implementation of a collaborative, agile water-quality monitoring framework, improving the monitoring of pollution hotspots and capitalising on the reforms already underway by EPA Victoria in response to the 2016 EPA Inquiry.
