Experts comment on latest IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Land

Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability Dr Gillian Sparkes, along with leading climate experts including ARC Centre for Climate System Science’s Professor Steven Sherwood; CSIRO Research Scientist, and Executive Director of the Global Carbon Project Pep Canadell; Director of the ANU Climate Change Institute at Australian National University Mark Howden and Principal Research Scientist, Climate Climate Branch at the NSW Department of Primary Industries discuss the findings of the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Climate Change and Land. Says Dr Sparkes: “Having recently completed the five-yearly Victorian 2018 State of the Environment Report (SoE), an independent scientific report on the environmental health of Victoria that includes extensive research and data on land use and agriculture, the IPCC’s Special Report Climate Change and Land (SRCCL) is timely."
