This is Victoria’s first State of the Bays Report is a historic baseline study of the health of Port Phillip Bay and Western Port.
The State of the Bays 2016 Report is based on existing marine science research, it is a timely stocktake of current knowledge on the two bays, and coincides with a period of sustained high levels of population and economic growth.
The State of the Bays 2016 Report is intended as a baseline on which future reports will build and over time, include more of Victoria’s marine environment.
